Road Trip:

Your Plastics Journey and Destination

Our world wastes 300 million tons of plastic each year, 50% of which is for single-use purposes. These quick and easy plastics are used for just a few minutes in someone's day but last for several hundred years on the planet. More than 8 million tons of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year. Services like fast food continue to dominate the market for the most single-use plastic pollution because of the popularity of quick food. The newer generations don’t seem to know the extent of the problem in our environment and how much we need a change if we want to preserve it.

Road Trip is a mobile application that connects you with the world and the dangers of single-use plastic pollution. This application scans a piece of everyday plastic and gives you an analytic run down of where that plastic will end up in the world and how long it will stay there. Road Trip spreads awareness but also gives you ways to navigate a new plastic alternative lifestyle.
